My Enchanting Quilling Journey with The Quirky Quillers

In April 2023, an exciting opportunity came knocking on my virtual doorstep, offering me a chance to explore my creativity while contributing to a meaningful cause. I discovered a virtual craft-along event by Craft for Cats—a chance to learn the art of quilling from none other than Rachel, the talented artist behind The Quirky Quillers. Little did I know that this experience would not only introduce me to the captivating world of quilling but also weave together threads of relaxation, creativity, and compassion.

When I heard about an event to raise vital funds for Cats Protection, an organisation close to my heart, I immediately signed up. Crafting had never really been my thing, but the idea of making a difference in the lives of cats in need truly resonated with me.

As the event began, I found myself in the virtual company of fellow cat lovers and craft enthusiasts, all united by a shared desire to learn and create. Our guide, Rachel, introduced us to the intricate art of quilling with grace and expertise. Her enthusiasm and clear instructions quickly put any of my doubts at ease.

For two engaging hours, I immersed myself in the process of transforming simple quilling strips into an intricate cat design. The rhythmic act of curling, shaping, and arranging the strips felt like a form of meditation in motion.
